WHO ARE WE?

We are Boostworks People Engagement Limited, a leading provider of employee engagement services including Boost Discounts, Boost Recognition, Boost Wellbeing, Boost Communications and Boost Benefits for the benefit of Our customers' members or employees. Boostworks People Engagement Limited is a company (no. 04516741) registered in the UK. The registered address is Victor House, Wheatley Business Centre, Old London Road, Wheatley, Oxford OX33 1XW.

Important: Your employer or membership organisation is the data controller for your personal information, and We act as the data processor on their behalf. This means they make the decisions about what information We process about you, and We follow their instructions.

Our platform is provided in English language only and is hosted in the UK.

WHAT TYPE OF INFORMATION IS COLLECTED FROM YOU?

The personal information We collect from you or receive about you might include:

  • your full name
  • address
  • email address
  • date of birth
  • employee or membership number
  • telephone number
  • country of residence (to show you the right reward catalogue)
  • IP address

If you use Boost Recognition, We also collect:

  • recognition messages you send or receive
  • nominations and posts on the social wall
  • reward points allocated to you
  • items you choose from the reward catalogue
  • your order history

In addition, We will collect information regarding what pages you access on Our platform and when. If you make a payment online or purchase a product from Us, your card information is not held by Us, it is collected and may be stored by Our third-party payment processors, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions.

HOW IS YOUR INFORMATION USED?

We may use your information to:

  • create and manage your account
  • enable you to log in securely
  • process orders that you have submitted
  • deliver Boost Discounts, Boost Recognition, Boost Wellbeing and other services
  • show you the right reward catalogue for your country (if you're using Global Recognition)
  • process recognition messages and reward points
  • deal with entries into a competition or prize draws
  • send you notifications about recognition you've received
  • notify you of changes to Our services
  • send you communications about platform features that your employer has chosen for you to receive
  • send you updates and information about your account
  • provide customer support
  • keep the platform secure and improve Our services

GLOBAL RECOGNITION

If your employer uses Boost Recognition Global, We use your country of residence to:

  • determine the right currency for your reward points (£, $ or €)
  • show you the reward catalogue that's available in your country
  • arrange delivery of rewards through Our trusted international partners

Your personal data is always processed and stored in the UK, even if you're based elsewhere. The platform remains in English for all users worldwide.

USE OF COOKIES

Like many other websites, Our platform uses cookies. 'Cookies' are small pieces of information sent by Us to your computer and stored on your hard drive to allow Our website to recognise you when you visit.

We use "essential" cookies to identify you when using our online cashback features and for security. If cookies are not enabled on your computer or device We will be unable to pay you cashback on your transaction with the linked supplier or provide certain features. Since these cookies are essential for making our platform usable, our site does not give you the option of opting out of these cookies.

We also use "statistics" cookies which collect data about your browsing actions and patterns on Our platform. This helps Us to improve Our service and deliver a better, more personalised experience. If your employer or organisation has requested we disable statistics cookies, you will not see an option to manage your cookies, and we will not collect statistics cookies regarding your usage of our platform.

  • Device information (e.g. device type, operating system, browser)
  • User identifiers
  • Location data (city, latitude/longitude)
  • Behavioural data (pages visited, time spent, clicks, interactions)

HOW DO I CHANGE MY COOKIE SETTINGS?

Within your Account Settings, you can choose to opt out of "statistics" cookies. If your employer or organisation has requested we disable this feature, you will not see an option to manage your cookies.

You cannot opt out of "essential" cookies on our site, because these cookies are required for the website to work properly. However, most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings.

OUR MOBILE APP

We also track user behaviour on our mobile application, however this does not use cookies and is anonymous (does not collect personal data) and so is unrelated to your cookie settings. The data we collect is used for the purposes of understanding user journeys and making improvements to your experience.

TRANSFERRING YOUR INFORMATION OUTSIDE OF THE UK

Your personal data is stored and processed in the UK.

As part of the services offered through our platform, some of your information may be transferred to countries outside the UK for order fulfilment or analytics, but only where this is necessary, and only with appropriate safeguards in place using UK GDPR-approved transfer mechanisms such as the UK-US Data Bridge or International Data Transfer Addendum.

  • Withdraw consent — You have a right to withdraw your consent for optional features

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

We retain your personal information in line with our client contracts:

  • Joiner/leaver files exchanged by your employer: up to 180 days, then deleted
  • Account and order data: up to 2 years after your account is closed, then anonymised
  • Remaining records for audit and legal purposes: up to 6 years after the scheme closes, then deleted

Retention periods may be adjusted from time to time based on business or legal requirements.

UNDER 18

Our platform is intended for adults. If you are under 18, you must not provide personal information to Us.
